I used to consider Rubbermaid the gold standard for plastic products. I have a sturdy Rubbermaid dustpan that has withstood the test of time. This one is not even in the same ballpark. I have used it twice and the plastic is already splitting. I am sorry to write such a bad review but this is simply junk.

This brush has a resemblance to a slightly downsized toilet brush, i.e. sturdy handle, stiff bristles, etc. I bought it to clean the relatively tall, slender glass mugs I use at work for water and tea, they're too slender for me to get a hand inside to scrub. This brush works perfectly for that task and scrubbed the tea gunk out of the bottom of my tea mug in seconds. It does have bristles covering the end of the brush so it will scrub the bottom of whatever you're cleaning. I saw reviews for other brushes complain that they lacked bristles on the end. Seems like an ideal bottle brush for all moderate or wide mouthed bottles, mugs, etc. It is likely to be too thick and stiff for narrow mouthed bottles, vases, etc. There seem to be other brushes specialized for cleaning those sort of objects.

What's the point in having a flexible rubber lip if's going to be harder than the plastic dust pan itself. I have an older version of this one, and LOVE it because the FLEXIBLE lip sits flush on any surface, and prevents the dust and dirt from being swept underneath the dustpan. This one doesn't, because it won't flex! So it's pointless!
Buy yours in person so you can confirm that the lip is flexible. Otherwise, don't waste your time.

I liked the product initially because the bristles don't curl with use like regular nylon material. However, the bristles are quite brittle and many of them would break off during use, eventually the brush head became bald. I am afraid the broken bristles might also cause a blocked sink drain.

Rubbermaid FG6C0100 Comfort Grip Duster and Dustpan SetI have hardwood floors in the bedroom and there's constantly stuff on the ground that I can't really get to on my side of the bed with a big broom and dustpan. Enter this. The brush works very well, is lightweight, and I usually only have to brush once in the dustpan and don't have to fight with getting things into the scoop.

I mean, there's really not much else to say about this kind of product. It works.

Pros:
- It works
- Not too big

Cons:
- The two pieces don't snap together as the pictures would seem to indicate.

I got this to make cleaning little messes a bit easier and in our move, I misplaced the old one I had that I loved..... I miss my old one now more than ever. This guy is nice BUT it doesn't clean anything up! If you are trying to clean up a spill of, say, cat littler... well this dustpan is horrible! No matter how gently you sweep, it flies over the rim and your hand and makes a worse mess than when you started. The rubber edge isn't thin enough to let things up over it so they stay on the floor no matter how much you back up and sweep... I really wish I hadn't bothered ordering this set. I supposed if I ever spill macaroni, I'm all set, but anything smaller and I am just going to have to lug out the vacuum.

I've tried a lot of different bottle brushes for my daily task of washing dishes and this is the best I've found. It has all the features I want and none of the ones I don't. It also comes at a great price. Here are the highlights:

► The brushes are the perfect texture: not too stiff, not too soft. As you probably know, stiff bristles make it difficult to absorb soap and clean well, while soft bristles wear out fast and get all smashed down. This brush is perfect. It will soften up with use, but not very fast. I've used these things for over a year before my wife made me throw it out and buy a new one!

► Despite the textured rubber handle (which really does help to keep grip), the handle does not lock you into holding it at a certain angle. One of the other brushes I tried got worn down on side because the handle made it uncomfortable to hold except at a single angle. This one is easy to twist and rotate in the hand, making sure the brush wears evenly. In the meantime, the rubber helps keep good grip in soapy water. Well designed.

► As far as I can tell, the handle is made of one piece of plastic, which keeps it from breaking at the joint. This was a problem in one of the stainless steel models I tried. This brush has NEVER broken and seems very stout.

► The brush head is medium sized. It won't fit in small bottle openings, but I have found that it works for 95% of the things I need it to do. For the others, I have one of those super skinny bottle brushes.

Overall I'm very happy with this bottle brush and will undoubtedly come back and buy many more in the future. Highly recommended!

I like this bottle brush for the longer than usual handle. Total length of the brush is 13-inches. The bristles are on the stiff side. Good for cleaning shorter metal Thermos bottles, but the sturdy handle is curved and "chunky", so still won't reach to the bottom of my tallest metal thermos bottles. Wish the handle was LONGER yet. Some manufacturer could make a lot of money if they would design a brush to fit the tall Thermos bottles. The BOTTOM of those bottles is where the coffee stains build up! Hope this helps!
