I wanted to go from plastic containers to glass containers.I was so happy when my glass containers arrived. I had leftover rice in one of the containers and took it from fridge to microwave and had it in for about 90 seconds or so . I had added a bit water so the rice would not dry out. I had a paper towel over ( Not the lid) and after i took it out of microwave I set it on wooden cutting board .I took the paper towel off and turned around to throw it away and the whole dish just exploded. I had glass everywhere. Called the company and they wanted me to send pictures which I did and they said they would refund me the money. 2 months later I am still waiting. I went online to see if other people had this problem since the company told me this is the first they heard about it . I found people complaining back in 2012 about this problem. This product is NOT SAFE. They need to pull this of the shelves. I am so glad my grand daughter was not in the kitchen with me at the time and I am glad that I was not hurt. I am adding photos..keep in mind I did NOT have a lid on. I laid the lid next to it to show that it was indeed the Rubbermaid Easy Find Lid Containers

A few minutes ago this was a Rubbermaid Easy Find Lid Glass Food Storage Bowl. This bowl is labeled and sold by Rubbermaid as microwave safe to 425 degrees. It very clearly is not. I set the microwave for 2 minutes, and just after 60 seconds the bowl exploded. This should not have happened. I found complaints about the same thing happening with these same bowls dating back to 2011. In each one I read Rubbermaid has said, "At this time, Rubbermaid does not believe that the specific product concerns expressed, suggest a defect that presents a substantial product hazard or unreasonable risk of serious injury or death." Are you kidding me?? In many of these complaints the consumer had already removed the bowl from the microwave and placed it on the counter before it exploded. Had they been still holding it in their hands, they surely would have been injured. Had I been holding this when it exploded, I would have been.
If you are considering buying this product, I urge you not to. If have these bowls in your home DO NOT use them in the microwave. Because of the lack of concern for their consumers, we will not be buying from this brand again.

I bought 2 of these sets to replace all my plastic. All was well for that last few months until I opened the fridge today and saw that a container holding potato salad was shattered. All the other jars, glass bottles, glass containers in the fridge were fine. Just this one. There was glass everywhere. I'm still finding pieces! I had to throw away all the food that was not covered or was in produce containers. There is no warning about this. It only happened to one container - but even 1 is too much. Buyer beware.

I have had these for less than 6 months. I liked them up until today. I put a little frozen peas and a little frozen corn in one and popped in in the microwave just like always, but this time the container exploded after less than a minute in the microwave.
I thought when I read about this in the reviews that they must have done something wrong that caused it. But I've been making peas and corn this way at least once a week for the last 10 years and have never had anything like this happen. Up until 6 months ago, I was using 10 year old Pyrex I bought at an outlet mall.
