I hope this site helps you to find what you are looking for. Happy reading!
Got back from Norway, where we did the first Future Library launch, with artist Katie Paterson and the Oslo Library. Using this landing page, we Periscoped the event, took questions via Twitter, and signed 50 dedicated and numbered e-covers of “Scribbler Moon,” which will not be read for 100 years. http://futurelibrary.fanado.com
Wattpad ran a writing contest at the same time: Margaret Atwood’s ‘Dear 2114’ Future Library Writing Contest.
The results of the launch can be seen at: http://www.slideshare.net/OsloBusinessRegion/future-library-oslo. An amazing event!
I’ve agreed to contribute to Hope Nicholson’s graphic art and comics project, Secret Loves of Geek Girls, by drawing some comic strips for it.
You can find this unusual project at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hopelnicholson/the-secret-loves-of-geek-girls I’m the white-haired one with the cat.
Speaking of comics, I’ve just got the “pencils” for the graphic version of The Handmaid’s Tale from artist Renée Nault. Exciting to have reached this stage!
And Beau’s All-Natural Brewery has just done another “edition” of NooBroo, made in honour of the MaddAddam Trilogy. http://beaus.ca/beer/maddaddamites-noobroo/
This beer contains ingredients mentioned in the trilogy, its labels echoes motifs from the books, and the sale of it benefits the Pelee Island Bird Observatory. Virtuous beer!
Margaret's full Event Schedule can be viewed HERE.
Stone Mattress: Nine Wicked Tales is now out in paperback, with a wonderful cover featuring a raven.
There are some in the book, but maybe this one has a slight echo of Poe…
You can spy the book covers here on the home page or browse the Shop.
A new novel, THE HEART GOES LAST, is coming out in September.
Cover views are here on the home page and also in the Shop.
For book tour events in the UK, the US, and Canada, go to the Events section where we will be adding the locations and information over the next few weeks.
Included will be the BookRiot festival in New York, November 7-8, where I’ll meet some of the Rioters.
And I’m working away at the next project, which is a revisitation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest for the Hogarth Press, within Vintage UK.
You can read more about the series at: http://www.vintage-books.co.uk/about-us/Hogarth/The-Hogarth-Shakespeare1/
