I whipped up a batch of sausage balls and mixed the hash browns. I waited patiently for them to bake up. I took one bite and had my answer. They are awesome! These would be great for parties or Christmas morning! Just scramble up some eggs for a super quick Christmas morning breakfast.
Sausage & Hash Brown Balls
approximately 60
(Printable Recipe)

- 1 1/2 cups Bisquick
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 (30oz) package frozen shredded hash brown potatoes (about 4 cups)
Preheat oven to 400F.
Mix all ingredients until well combined. (I use my KitchenAid mixer with the dough hook attachment) Roll into 1 1/2-inch balls. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until brown.
Sausage balls may be frozen uncooked. If baking frozen, add a few minutes to the baking time.

ReplyDeleteI wonder if you could use Chorizo? Then put them in a tortilla. Quick breakfast burritos :)

ReplyDeleteSounds fantastic! Addictive too, I bet, just pop "one more" about 30 times, right?

ReplyDeleteSounds good. I like trying different ways to make sausage balls. One question....do you thaw out the hash browns?
ReplyDeleteI did not thaw them first. I just broke up any big clumps of hash browns.
