Halfway through September, how has this happened? We’re on the tail-end of birthday season in our house, with one to go. The sixth and final cake or cupcakes will be baked on Wednesday. We finally had a small party for the boys, hence the extra cake, and there is a lot of leftover food, so we’ll be working on leftovers for a couple of days.
- Monday – Brinner (Breakfast dinner) Sausage & cheese pinwheels, peach / banana smoothies
- Tuesday – C.O.R.N.* with a high probablity of Mustgo Soup
- Wednesday – Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches (kids get plain), green tossed salad,
- Thursday – Ground Beef Curry (recipe sent in by a reader), broccoli
- Friday – Shrimp pot pies (may get changed to shrimp burgers depending on weather and mood), chopped salad
- Saturday – Calzones, heavy on the vegetables
- Sunday – Roast beef with creamy horseradish, mashed potatoes, green beans (last week’s menu item got shifted, but I really want new pics of this recipe)

Bold indicates a recipe I would like to add to the index, but these are dependent on how the week progresses
Tell me Home Eccers, what’s on your menu this week?
I've only had shrimp burgers, one time, at that restaurant on the Folly Pier. Yum.
Tonight, we are having Chinese Pork Burgers on HM buns.. Hopefully. 🙂 and Oriental Cole Slaw. I'd like to skip to the eat part, right now, though.
Our menu, this week: http://fromthecheapseatz.blogspot.com/2009/09/men… (I'm too tired to go shorten it.. sorry!)
Tonight: Leftover Chinese beef and zucchini from Saturday (it's made in the crockpot and magnificent)
Tuesday: Chicken noodle soup
Wednesday: Cheese ravioli with homemade(!) tomato sauce (superduper easy)
Thursday: Chicken noodle soup (I made a batch on Sunday and didn't eat hardly any)
Friday: Chicken pot pie (Gosh, there sure is a lot of chicken… however, I roasted a whole chicken for the first time yesterday, and someone's got to eat it…)
Saturday: Leftovers
Sunday: Leftovers
It is entirely possible that pizza will get worked in at some point, though it looks like pretty much everything is already made. (I'm a college student, and generally don't feel like cooking during the week, though I really enjoy it on the weekends.)
Tonight: Spaghetti with simple, home-made sauce and fresh french bread
Tomorrow: Cook Out Cheeseburgers with fresh corn on the cob and carrots
Wednesday: Lemon and Rosemary Salmon with Rice and Potatoes
Thursday: Chili and Cornbread with spinach salad
Friday: Beef Stew and Chocolate Mousse Pie
Saturday: Calzones, vegetable sticks and dip
(The only one intimidating me right now is Salmon but I am using the Home-Ec101 recipe!!)
shrimp burgers ? how does that work?….i do love shrimp and i do love burgers so that might be right up my alley!
Salmon did not go over well with my 9 and 10 year old. My husband said it was great but they were weary as soon as they sat down. So much for having a sophisticated family dinner. Tomorow….crowd pleasing chili (I am doomed to forever cook the same foods over and over and over!)
