It is past time for new socks when your husband comments on their rapidly deteriorating condition.
Have I mentioned I hate shopping?

I only like shopping when it’s quick and successful. When I get exactly what I’m looking for (or better) for a reasonable price. Otherwise, it’s miserable.
Why not give him your shoe size and let him get them as presents. Socks are expensive so he could buy a few for give giving holidays and soon you’d have plenty, no shopping needed, and you wouldn’t have another toaster.
@Jasi, exactly I don’t mind grocery shopping I can be in and out of there quickly with no surprises.
Aside from that, socks are a commitment, what if I hate them? I’ll be stuck with them until they fall apart. I’m kidding. . . mostly.
@Momofthree He’s great at getting what I want. Any gift giving occasion is some combination of Dr. Pepper, Doritos, chocolate, reading material, and time away from the kids. Socks might rock the boat. 😉
